Mrs Kolacz has just come back from work. The first thing she noticed was that the house was in a mess that looked different from what her children usually made. She went to the kitchen and saw that the backyard door pane was smashed and the door open. She called the police and started looking round to find out more.

Before you listen to her interview with the police officer, read the questions below. Click the right answers while listening.

Mrs Kolacz was very upset about the burglary. That is why she had to ask for clarification and the officer had to explain some things she could not understand. Below you will find some of the expressions they used. Listen carefully to the dialogue again and fill in the gaps with the words they used. You can listen to the dialogue as many times as you need.
